Sunshine in London

There really is something special about London in the sunshine. It brings out a whole new side to the city, especially this early in the year. Everything has just got to proper greenness and now it looks stunning.

Downsides are that my neighbours are sitting in their garden playing rap music at a pretty obnoxious level!

I am so glad it is a nice day today as I have had a big month with work and yesterday was a bit depressing thanks to the continued idiocy of my insurance company and ongoing subsidence claim. 3 years of bugger all progress except for more cracks, plaster coming off the walls etc.

So last night I was upset, I let it get to me which I normally try not to let happen. Still, thanks to my husband, and a friend on twitter (cheers @metajugglamum) I ended up not having a totally sobbing meltdown.

Therefore, I am seeing this good weather as a sign of a new, good day and I am off to Wandsworth common to hang out with some friends and maybe have a pimms!

London in the summer is enough to cheer anyone up!

I am nearing 30, should I be worried...

I am off sick today - which sucks as I am so busy at work and it is May - therefore I shouldn't be sick...

I got thinking - maybe it wasn't just heavy duty bugs in the air, maybe, just maybe it is just the fact that I am nearly 30.

Perhaps my immune system is packing up and abandoning me. Then I started thinking that it was not just my immune system that seems to be going wrong... various other bits of my body seem to be acting weirdly, from a hip that hurts when I sleep on it to an ear that is constantly ticklish... oh and my memory seems to have turned into something resembling a fishing net - full of giant holes!

What the hell is going on - I am fairly sure that until recently I didn't used to have lots of weird aches, pains and other general complaints!

So is this what being 30 will mean?! Strange sensations and only vague recollections of what I did before lunch!?!

It looks like it really is all down hill from here...
